You are trusting us with some of the most private things a person can share — your thoughts, your fears, your worst days. We do not take that lightly. Quietly is built local-first. This means your data stays on your device by default. We don't have a server copy of your journal entries. We cannot read what you write. We built it this way on purpose.
The following never leaves your phone unless you explicitly choose to back it up or share it:
We do not collect this. We cannot access it. We do not sell it.
By default, we collect nothing beyond what is necessary to run the app. If you choose to enable Anonymous Analytics, we receive only aggregated, non-identifiable usage signals. This data helps us fix bugs and improve the product. It is never linked to you individually.
Your name and email address are stored with Firebase for authentication only. We do not use your name or email for marketing. Your actual app content still lives on your device.
If you book a therapist through Quietly, the following is stored on our servers: Session booking metadata, Payment processing records, Session notes written by your therapist, Your intake answers and session history. You may request deletion of all of this at any time by writing to us.
When you speak with Ira, your messages are processed by OpenAI's API to generate responses. We have contractual obligations with OpenAI that prevent your data from being used to train their models.
If you access Quietly through a workplace programme, your employer may receive anonymised, aggregated wellness signals. No individual-level data is ever shared.
Quietly is not intended for anyone under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children under this age.
We implement the following protections: All local data is encrypted at rest, Clinical session notes are encrypted end-to-end, Firestore security rules ensure privacy, We do not train any AI model on personally identifiable user data.
You have the right to: Know what data we hold about you, Correct inaccurate data, Request deletion of your data, Withdraw consent at any time. To exercise these rights, write to us at reach@aditibajpai.me. We will respond within 30 days.
We will ask you once before your data is gone. If you are an anonymous user, deletion is permanent. If you signed in, we will ask whether you want to delete your cloud account too or just uninstall.
Quietly uses: Firebase (Google) for authentication, OpenAI for AI response generation, Payment gateways for session payment processing. We do not share your data with advertisers.
We may update this Privacy Policy when we add new features. We will notify you through the app when material changes occur.
