Quietly is a silence-first mental health platform, built for India's pre-clinical segment — people who are struggling but haven't sought formal help yet. The Platform includes a private, local-first journal, AI-assisted emotional support through Ira, peer ("buddy") connection, and access to independent therapists and medical/allied practitioners, operated by Quietly Mental Health Private Limited, registered in India.
Quietly is not therapy, and it is not medical care. Ira is a companion — not a therapist, counsellor, psychologist, psychiatrist, or doctor. She cannot diagnose you, cannot prescribe anything, and cannot treat a condition. Nothing here replaces seeing a professional. If something in your life needs one, please see one. Therapists and medical/allied practitioners available through Quietly are independent professionals; Quietly facilitates the connection and is not responsible for their clinical judgement or outcomes.
If you are thinking of hurting yourself, or you are not safe, call one of these now — they are free, private, and staffed by trained people: Tele MANAS: 14416 · iCall: 9152987821 · Vandrevala Foundation: 9999 666 555 · AASRA: 9820 466 726. Quietly cannot help in a real emergency. It does not watch conversations for one, and nobody here is reading what you write in real time.
Ira is built on artificial intelligence. She can be wrong, and sometimes she will be. Please use your own judgement about anything she says, the same way you would with a well-meaning stranger. She runs a deterministic, keyword-based safety floor for crisis and assault disclosures — app logic, not the AI model itself deciding — that shows crisis resources or routes you to a human, never both her and a fabricated sense that help has already arrived. Where Ira or another provider assists with something like summarising, note-taking, or flagging a risk on a practitioner's behalf, that output is assistive only and must be independently reviewed by the practitioner before being relied on professionally.
Quietly can introduce you to a buddy, a therapist, or another practitioner. We verify who they say they are — identity, and relevant qualifications or licensing — before they are listed. What happens between you and a matched practitioner is between you and them; they are responsible for their own professional conduct and advice, subject to their own licensing and ethical obligations. Peer ("buddy") support is explicitly non-clinical: a buddy is not a licensed mental health professional unless stated otherwise, and no clinical relationship is created through a buddy conversation.
Quiz results, mood scores, and other in-app assessments are indicative only, meant for informational and self-reflection purposes. They are not a clinical diagnosis, a medical opinion, a psychiatric evaluation, or a treatment recommendation.
You must be 18 or older to use Quietly. You can use Quietly anonymously — a username-and-password account with no name, email, or phone required is fully supported, with a recovery key you keep somewhere safe in place of a password reset. Keep what you know about other people in this app to yourself. Please do not use Quietly to harm anybody, including yourself. We may close an account being used to hurt someone.
You agree not to: use the Platform to harm yourself or anyone else; attempt to manipulate Ira into providing a diagnosis, a prescription, or clinical advice she is built never to give; post content that is abusive, threatening, or harassing in the peer circle or community spaces; reverse-engineer, scrape, or otherwise misuse Ira's underlying systems; or use Quietly for commercial purposes without our written permission.
A paid plan is a single, one-time payment — it does not renew automatically, there is no recurring charge, and there is nothing to cancel. Session-based bookings (buddy, therapist, medical/allied) are priced per the model shown at booking — per-minute, hybrid base-plus-per-minute, or a fixed session price — and settle against your wallet balance, which you top up yourself in advance. Payments are processed by Razorpay; we never see or store your card details. If something goes wrong with a payment, write to us and we will sort it out.
Ira — her name, conversational design, prompts, and underlying systems — along with the Platform's other content, design, and code, is Quietly's property, protected under applicable Indian intellectual-property law. You may not reverse-engineer, scrape, or use Platform interactions to train a competing system. Your own journal entries, and anything else you create in the app, remain yours.
We work hard to keep Quietly running, and sometimes it will still break — the Platform is provided as-is, with no warranty that it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We are not responsible for what you decide to do based on something Ira or another part of the Platform said; those decisions stay yours. To the maximum extent Indian law allows, Quietly is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the Platform.
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we change something important, we will tell you inside the app before it takes effect. Continued use after a change means you accept the revised Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of Gautam Buddha Nagar, Uttar Pradesh decide any dispute arising from them.
